Brilliant service, even helped me move a bed🙂Posted on Georgie AlexanderTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. We had our survey done, by Phil. He was very knowledgeable in the field, and walked us through the solutions we need to take. Our treatment was carried out by Craig, who took special care of all household items, whilst carrying out the treatment. Craig made sure to explain the best methods of cleaning the treatment. Would highly recommend! Thank youPosted on Leah Warner-TedaldiTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. We had Kai and Sam come to do isotherm insulation on our walls. They were great, really upbeat and friendly. They worked really hard and left the place so tidy. The work looks good so far! Review is done on the day of completion Update: we had a lot of trouble with this company in the end. The plastering work ended up needing to be redone. It took 6 weeks for it to be redone and we were left with a completely unusable room and really bad communication. There were so many times when I rang through to the switchboard and escalated matters for nothing to happen. We felt totally helpless and stranded. I have since tried to get through to their complaints team to no avail. We had the isotherm sheeting fixed which was then skimmed over the top. Once this had set you could quite easily push it in with your finger, denting it (see pic of finger dents). The company surveyor (who we asked to be sent round) said that this was expected and how the isotherm works (I would not recommend!) Luckily they sent a plasterer round to fix it, and he said the whole thing (isotherm and all) needed to be redone, and he redid it all. It now looks really good and doesn’t dent with your finger. TBH I wouldn’t recommend this company, I found them impossible to get in touch with and just gatekept at a switchboard and left us in a really vulnerable position and took 6 weeks to fix it.Posted on Monika NiebojTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. They turned up at my property on time, did a very neat job, explained everything that they were going to do and cleaned up after they had finished.Posted on James WaltonTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Rising damp can be successfully treated by injecting a silicone-based damp proofing course into the affected wall. If needed, any damaged plaster will be removed and replaced with renovating plaster or a specialised cavity wall membrane system.
Although most properties in the UK have a damp proofing course, issues can occur due to poor installation, damage, or high external ground levels that compromise the course.
Our solutions are backed by a 25-year guarantee, providing long-lasting protection for your home.

What is damp proofing?
Damp proofing is a protective measure used to prevent moisture from entering your home through its walls, floors, or roof. It involves applying barriers such as damp-proof membranes or coatings to block the infiltration of water. Damp proofing is essential for maintaining a dry, healthy environment, preventing structural damage, and avoiding mould growth. It’s especially important in areas with high humidity or where water penetration is more likely due to external factors like poor drainage or rising damp.
What causes rising damp?
Rising damp occurs when moisture from the ground moves upwards through the walls of a property via capillary action. This can happen when the damp proof course (DPC) has failed, is improperly installed, or is bridged by external factors like high ground levels. Rising damp leads to damp patches on walls, peeling paint, and the potential for damage to plaster, wood, and other materials in your home. It’s important to address rising damp promptly to prevent further damage.
How can I tell if my property has damp problems?
Common signs of damp in your home include visible water stains, peeling wallpaper, musty smells, and mould growth on walls or ceilings. You may also notice damp patches on the floor, especially in corners or near external walls. In cases of rising damp, you may see water marks or discolouration on the lower parts of the walls. If you notice any of these issues, it’s advisable to schedule a damp survey to assess the extent of the problem.
How is damp proofing carried out?
Damp proofing involves several methods depending on the type and extent of the damp issue. For rising damp, a silicone-based damp proof course may be injected into the walls. In cases of penetrating damp, a waterproofing membrane may be applied, and any affected plaster will be replaced. The exterior may also be treated to prevent water ingress. A thorough inspection and survey by a qualified professional will determine the most appropriate damp proofing solution for your property.
Can damp proofing solutions reduce my energy bills?
Yes, some damp proofing solutions can improve your home’s energy efficiency. For example, installing a damp-proof membrane and repairing external defects can prevent heat loss through damp walls. This helps keep your home warmer, reducing the need for heating and ultimately lowering your energy bills. Additionally, HMRC has recognised the energy-saving benefits of these solutions by reducing the VAT rate on certain damp proofing services, further enhancing their affordability.
Can I still live in my home during damp proofing work?
In most cases, you can remain in your home while damp proofing work is being carried out. However, the disruption will depend on the extent of the work required. For minor damp proofing solutions, like wall injections, the process can be completed relatively quickly, and you may not need to vacate the property. Larger-scale treatments, such as removing plaster and applying a damp-proof membrane, may cause some disruption, but it’s usually temporary. Your damp proofing company will discuss the expected timeline and any necessary arrangements with you before starting the work.
What are the common causes of damp in a home?
Damp can be caused by various factors, including poor ventilation, water ingress from external sources (such as leaking roofs, broken gutters, or cracks in the masonry), rising damp from the ground, and condensation. A damaged or improperly installed damp proof course (DPC) can also allow moisture to rise up through walls. Inadequate drainage, high external ground levels, and poorly sealed windows or doors can contribute to damp problems. Identifying the specific cause of damp is essential for selecting the right treatment to protect your property.
