Would highly recommend! Thank youPosted on Leah Warner-TedaldiTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. We had Kai and Sam come to do isotherm insulation on our walls. They were great, really upbeat and friendly. They worked really hard and left the place so tidy. The work looks good so far! Review is done on the day of completion Update: we had a lot of trouble with this company in the end. The plastering work ended up needing to be redone. It took 6 weeks for it to be redone and we were left with a completely unusable room and really bad communication. There were so many times when I rang through to the switchboard and escalated matters for nothing to happen. We felt totally helpless and stranded. I have since tried to get through to their complaints team to no avail. We had the isotherm sheeting fixed which was then skimmed over the top. Once this had set you could quite easily push it in with your finger, denting it (see pic of finger dents). The company surveyor (who we asked to be sent round) said that this was expected and how the isotherm works (I would not recommend!) Luckily they sent a plasterer round to fix it, and he said the whole thing (isotherm and all) needed to be redone, and he redid it all. It now looks really good and doesn’t dent with your finger. TBH I wouldn’t recommend this company, I found them impossible to get in touch with and just gatekept at a switchboard and left us in a really vulnerable position and took 6 weeks to fix it.Posted on Monika NiebojTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Why Insulation Matters
A poorly insulated home loses heat through the roof, walls and floors, forcing your heating system to work harder and increasing energy bills.
Proper insulation helps retain warmth, improve comfort and reduce energy consumption throughout the year. Studies show roofs can lose up to 25% of a home’s heat without effective insulation.
What Happens If You Don't Insulate?
More heat escapes through uninsulated areas, forcing your heating system to work harder and increasing monthly household energy costs.
Poor insulation allows cold air inside, creating uncomfortable draughts and uneven temperatures throughout different areas of the property.
Higher running costs and lower energy efficiency may make your property less attractive to potential buyers and tenants.
Cold surfaces can cause excess moisture indoors, increasing the risk of condensation, mould growth and poor indoor air quality.
Moisture build-up caused by poor insulation can lead to damp patches, peeling paint and damage to interior walls and ceilings.
Warm air escapes more easily through poorly insulated walls, roofs and floors, reducing overall energy efficiency within the property.
Insufficient insulation can reduce your property's EPC rating, making it appear less energy efficient to buyers or tenants.
Heating systems must work longer to maintain temperatures, potentially increasing wear, energy usage and ongoing maintenance requirements.

Frequently Asked Questions
What is included in a full house insulation assessment?
A full house insulation assessment involves a detailed inspection of your property’s insulation and energy efficiency. During the survey, specialists assess areas including loft insulation, cavity walls, external walls and existing insulation performance. Thermal heat-loss readings and specialist equipment may also be used to identify hidden issues affecting energy efficiency. At Home Energy Save GB, the assessment also includes solution-based recommendations, estimated costings and guidance on how insulation improvements could positively impact your EPC rating and property value.
How long does a home insulation survey take?
The length of a home insulation survey depends on the size and condition of the property, but most assessments can usually be completed within a couple of hours. During this time, surveyors inspect key areas such as the loft, walls and insulation systems while carrying out heat-loss and damp-related checks where required. The process is designed to be straightforward and minimally disruptive. Following the survey, homeowners receive recommendations tailored to the property’s insulation needs and energy efficiency goals.
Do older homes benefit from insulation upgrades?
Older homes can often benefit significantly from insulation upgrades, particularly if they were built before modern energy efficiency standards were introduced. Many older properties experience heat loss through poorly insulated lofts, walls and floors, which can lead to higher energy costs and colder living conditions. An insulation assessment helps identify where improvements may be needed and which solutions are most suitable for the property’s construction. Upgrading insulation can also help improve comfort, reduce damp risks and support better EPC ratings.
Can insulation improve my EPC rating?
Upgrading insulation can help improve a property’s EPC rating by increasing overall energy efficiency and reducing heat loss. Better insulation allows homes to retain warmth more effectively, which can positively impact the energy performance calculations used within an EPC assessment. Higher EPC ratings may make properties more attractive to buyers, tenants and mortgage lenders while also supporting lower running costs. A professional insulation survey helps identify which upgrades could provide the greatest improvement to your property’s current energy performance.
