He was very knowledgeable in the field, and walked us through the solutions we need to take. Our treatment was carried out by Craig, who took special care of all household items, whilst carrying out the treatment. Craig made sure to explain the best methods of cleaning the treatment. Would highly recommend! Thank youPosted on Google Leah Warner-TedaldiTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. We had Kai and Sam come to do isotherm insulation on our walls. They were great, really upbeat and friendly. They worked really hard and left the place so tidy. The work looks good so far! Review is done on the day of completion Update: we had a lot of trouble with this company in the end. The plastering work ended up needing to be redone. It took 6 weeks for it to be redone and we were left with a completely unusable room and really bad communication. There were so many times when I rang through to the switchboard and escalated matters for nothing to happen. We felt totally helpless and stranded. I have since tried to get through to their complaints team to no avail. We had the isotherm sheeting fixed which was then skimmed over the top. Once this had set you could quite easily push it in with your finger, denting it (see pic of finger dents). The company surveyor (who we asked to be sent round) said that this was expected and how the isotherm works (I would not recommend!) Luckily they sent a plasterer round to fix it, and he said the whole thing (isotherm and all) needed to be redone, and he redid it all. It now looks really good and doesn’t dent with your finger. TBH I wouldn’t recommend this company, I found them impossible to get in touch with and just gatekept at a switchboard and left us in a really vulnerable position and took 6 weeks to fix it.Posted on Google Monika NiebojTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. What is Damp Proofing?
Damp proofing prevents moisture from entering your home through the walls, floors or roof. It typically uses materials like membranes or sealants to stop issues such as rising damp, condensation or water intrusion.
For homeowners, effective damp proofing protects the building’s structure, helps prevent damage to plaster and timber, and reduces the risk of mould.

Rising Damp Solutions In Newcastle
The most effective way to treat rising damp is by installing a high performance silicone based damp proof course within the affected walls, creating a durable barrier that prevents ground moisture from travelling upwards. Where necessary, any damaged or salt contaminated plaster is removed and replaced with specialist renovating plaster or a cavity membrane system to help manage moisture and encourage the walls to dry properly.
Every rising damp treatment we carry out is supported by a 25 year guarantee, giving homeowners across Newcastle lasting confidence that their property is protected. Our proven solutions help create a dry, comfortable and healthier home for years to come.

Penetrating Damp Solutions in Newcastle
If you have spotted damp patches, mould growth or water stains on your walls or ceilings, your property may be affected by penetrating damp.
One of our experienced surveyors will carry out a thorough inspection of your Newcastle home to identify exactly where moisture is entering the building. Once the cause has been established, we will recommend the most effective treatment based on the construction and condition of your property.
To provide added protection against future moisture problems, we can also apply a premium water repellent treatment to your property’s external brickwork or masonry.
What to Expect From Our FREE Damp Survey
One of our experienced surveyors will visit your home at a time that works for you.
Using digital tools, they’ll carry out a full damp survey to spot any issues and explain what’s causing them, how they’re affecting your home, and what can be done to fix them. The survey is completely free.
Some of the treatments we recommend could even help lower your energy bills, which is why HMRC applies a reduced VAT rate to them.

How do I know if my home in Newcastle needs damp proofing?
Common signs of damp include peeling wallpaper, damp patches, mould growth, musty smells, flaking plaster and tide marks on internal walls. Newcastle’s wet weather and older housing stock can make some properties more susceptible to moisture problems. A professional damp survey will identify the underlying cause and recommend the most suitable treatment, helping to prevent further damage and maintain a dry, healthy home.
What types of damp are most common in Newcastle properties?
Homes across Newcastle can experience rising damp, penetrating damp and condensation, with each requiring a different solution. Older terraced properties may be more vulnerable to rising damp, while driving rain can contribute to penetrating damp. Condensation is often caused by poor ventilation. Home Energy Save GB carries out detailed surveys to identify the exact cause before recommending the most effective treatment for your property.
Can damp proofing help prevent mould in my Newcastle home?
Yes. If mould is being caused by excess moisture entering your property, damp proofing can help eliminate the source of the problem. Once the underlying cause has been resolved and affected areas have dried out, the conditions that allow mould to grow are greatly reduced. Improving ventilation may also be recommended where condensation is contributing to the issue, creating a healthier indoor environment.
How long does damp proofing take to complete?
The length of a damp proofing project depends on the size of the affected area and the treatment required. Smaller jobs can often be completed within a day, while more extensive work may take several days. Your surveyor will explain the expected timescale before work begins, allowing you to understand the process and prepare for any temporary disruption within your home.
