Brilliant service, even helped me move a bed🙂Posted on Georgie AlexanderTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. We had our survey done, by Phil. He was very knowledgeable in the field, and walked us through the solutions we need to take. Our treatment was carried out by Craig, who took special care of all household items, whilst carrying out the treatment. Craig made sure to explain the best methods of cleaning the treatment. Would highly recommend! Thank youPosted on Leah Warner-TedaldiTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. We had Kai and Sam come to do isotherm insulation on our walls. They were great, really upbeat and friendly. They worked really hard and left the place so tidy. The work looks good so far! Review is done on the day of completion Update: we had a lot of trouble with this company in the end. The plastering work ended up needing to be redone. It took 6 weeks for it to be redone and we were left with a completely unusable room and really bad communication. There were so many times when I rang through to the switchboard and escalated matters for nothing to happen. We felt totally helpless and stranded. I have since tried to get through to their complaints team to no avail. We had the isotherm sheeting fixed which was then skimmed over the top. Once this had set you could quite easily push it in with your finger, denting it (see pic of finger dents). The company surveyor (who we asked to be sent round) said that this was expected and how the isotherm works (I would not recommend!) Luckily they sent a plasterer round to fix it, and he said the whole thing (isotherm and all) needed to be redone, and he redid it all. It now looks really good and doesn’t dent with your finger. TBH I wouldn’t recommend this company, I found them impossible to get in touch with and just gatekept at a switchboard and left us in a really vulnerable position and took 6 weeks to fix it.Posted on Monika NiebojTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Had John and Ron at my house this morning fitting a new damp course. They were both friendly and professional. They turned up at my property on time, did a very neat job, explained everything that they were going to do and cleaned up after they had finished.Posted on James WaltonTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Larry was very professional! He is very knowledgeable and helped me diagnose my damp issue.

Cavity Wall Insulation Extraction in Lancaster
Defective or waterlogged cavity wall insulation can trap moisture within the walls of your Lancaster home and may lead to damp problems developing inside the property. Our cavity wall insulation extraction service removes damaged or saturated insulation materials safely and efficiently, allowing your external walls to function properly again and helping to reduce the risk of ongoing moisture related issues.
These issues can arise when insulation has been poorly installed in the past or when moisture has gradually entered the cavity over time due to prolonged exposure to Lancaster’s coastal weather conditions.
Cavity Wall Insulation Extraction
Older or poorly installed cavity wall insulation can lead to a range of problems within your home, including damp patches, mould growth and reduced energy efficiency.
Solution: Our cavity wall insulation extraction service in Lancaster safely removes defective or waterlogged insulation materials from the cavity. By clearing out the failed insulation, the wall cavity is able to dry naturally and function as it should, helping to reduce the risk of further moisture related problems and improving the overall condition of your home.

Are most homes in Lancaster suitable for cavity wall insulation?
Many properties in Lancaster are suitable for cavity wall insulation, particularly traditional brick built homes and semi detached properties with cavity walls. However, not every property is appropriate for installation. Before carrying out any work, our team at Home Energy Save GB performs a detailed survey to check the condition of the walls, the width of the cavity and whether there are any signs of damp or structural concerns. This allows us to confirm that the insulation will perform correctly and provide long term energy efficiency benefits for your home.
How much heat can cavity wall insulation save in a Lancaster property?
Cavity wall insulation can significantly reduce heat loss through the walls of your home. In many properties, around a third of heat can escape through uninsulated walls. By installing cavity wall insulation, homeowners in Lancaster can often notice a warmer indoor environment and reduced heating demand. This can lead to lower energy bills over time. At Home Energy Save GB, we install insulation materials designed to improve thermal performance while helping your heating system work more efficiently throughout the colder months common in Lancashire.
Can cavity wall insulation cause damp problems?
When installed correctly in suitable properties, cavity wall insulation should not cause damp problems. Issues can sometimes occur if insulation is installed in walls that already have moisture problems or where the cavity is obstructed with debris. This is why the initial survey is so important. At Home Energy Save GB, we carry out a thorough inspection before recommending insulation. This helps ensure the cavity is suitable and that the installation will improve the thermal performance of your Lancaster home without increasing the risk of damp.
What is a borescope survey and why is it important?
A borescope survey is an inspection that allows surveyors to look inside the wall cavity using specialist equipment. A small hole is made in the wall and a camera is inserted so the interior of the cavity can be viewed. This helps identify any debris, moisture or structural issues that could affect the insulation. At Home Energy Save GB, we carry out borescope surveys for homes in Lancaster before installation. This ensures that cavity wall insulation will perform properly and that the cavity is clear and suitable.
What signs suggest my Lancaster home may need cavity wall insulation?
There are several signs that your property may benefit from cavity wall insulation. These include cold walls, higher than expected heating bills and rooms that struggle to stay warm during winter. Some homeowners also notice that their heating system runs for longer periods to maintain comfortable temperatures. If your Lancaster property was built with cavity walls but has never been insulated, it may be worth arranging a survey to determine whether installation could improve energy efficiency.
