Brilliant service, even helped me move a bed🙂Posted on Georgie AlexanderTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. We had our survey done, by Phil. He was very knowledgeable in the field, and walked us through the solutions we need to take. Our treatment was carried out by Craig, who took special care of all household items, whilst carrying out the treatment. Craig made sure to explain the best methods of cleaning the treatment. Would highly recommend! Thank youPosted on Leah Warner-TedaldiTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. We had Kai and Sam come to do isotherm insulation on our walls. They were great, really upbeat and friendly. They worked really hard and left the place so tidy. The work looks good so far! Review is done on the day of completion Update: we had a lot of trouble with this company in the end. The plastering work ended up needing to be redone. It took 6 weeks for it to be redone and we were left with a completely unusable room and really bad communication. There were so many times when I rang through to the switchboard and escalated matters for nothing to happen. We felt totally helpless and stranded. I have since tried to get through to their complaints team to no avail. We had the isotherm sheeting fixed which was then skimmed over the top. Once this had set you could quite easily push it in with your finger, denting it (see pic of finger dents). The company surveyor (who we asked to be sent round) said that this was expected and how the isotherm works (I would not recommend!) Luckily they sent a plasterer round to fix it, and he said the whole thing (isotherm and all) needed to be redone, and he redid it all. It now looks really good and doesn’t dent with your finger. TBH I wouldn’t recommend this company, I found them impossible to get in touch with and just gatekept at a switchboard and left us in a really vulnerable position and took 6 weeks to fix it.Posted on Monika NiebojTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Had John and Ron at my house this morning fitting a new damp course. They were both friendly and professional. They turned up at my property on time, did a very neat job, explained everything that they were going to do and cleaned up after they had finished.Posted on James WaltonTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Larry was very professional! He is very knowledgeable and helped me diagnose my damp issue.

Our experienced insulation specialists assess every property carefully before recommending the most suitable insulation solution. From the initial property survey through to the final installation, we follow strict quality and safety procedures to ensure the insulation is installed correctly and performs effectively for many years to come.

Home Energy Save GB offers a free borescope survey for homeowners across Southport and the surrounding areas, helping you find out whether your property could benefit from cavity wall insulation.
During the survey, our experienced team performs a detailed inspection of the property, including a thorough assessment of the structure and overall condition of the cavity walls.
The Importance of a Borescope Survey
With our FREE borescope survey in Southport, we carry out a detailed inspection to confirm that your property is suitable for cavity wall insulation and that it will perform effectively in the types of homes commonly found across the local area.
During the survey, we will:
- Assess whether your home is suitable for cavity wall insulation and whether the construction of the property allows insulation to be installed safely and effectively.
- Inspect the condition of the wall cavity using specialist borescope equipment, allowing our surveyors to look inside the walls accurately while keeping disruption to your home to an absolute minimum.
- Check for any issues inside the cavity, including rubble, debris, damp or other obstructions that could affect the performance of the insulation or reduce its long term effectiveness.

Cavity Wall Insulation Extraction in Southport
Defective or waterlogged cavity wall insulation can trap moisture within the walls of your Southport home and may lead to damp problems developing inside the property.
These issues can arise when insulation has been poorly installed in the past or when moisture has gradually entered the cavity over time. Southport’s coastal location means properties are often exposed to driving rain, strong winds and higher levels of moisture in the air. This can increase the chances of water finding its way into wall cavities, particularly in older homes built with traditional masonry construction.
Cavity Wall Insulation Extraction
Older or poorly installed cavity wall insulation can cause a number of problems within your Southport home, including damp patches appearing on internal walls, the development of mould and a clear reduction in overall energy efficiency.
Solution: Our cavity wall insulation extraction service in Southport carefully removes defective or waterlogged insulation materials from the cavity. By clearing out the failed insulation, the wall cavity can begin to function properly again, allowing trapped moisture to escape and helping to reduce the risk of ongoing damp related issues inside the property.

How much heat can cavity wall insulation save?
A large amount of heat can escape through uninsulated walls. In many homes, up to a third of heat loss can occur through the external walls if the cavity is empty. Installing cavity wall insulation helps reduce this heat loss by slowing the transfer of heat through the walls. For homeowners in Southport, this means properties can stay warmer for longer once the heating is turned on. As a result, many households notice improved comfort levels inside their home as well as a reduction in the amount of energy needed to maintain a comfortable indoor temperature.
How do you check the condition of the cavity walls?
Before installing insulation, we carry out a detailed borescope survey. This involves drilling a small access hole and inserting a specialist camera into the cavity wall so we can inspect its condition. The survey allows our team to check for debris, moisture, previous insulation or structural concerns that may affect the installation. This careful inspection ensures the cavity wall is suitable for insulation and helps prevent future issues. For homeowners in Southport, this step provides reassurance that the work will be completed safely and effectively.
What type of insulation materials are used in cavity walls?
Several types of insulation materials can be used for cavity wall installations, including mineral wool fibres, polystyrene beads and specialist foam products. The most suitable material will depend on the design and condition of the property. At Home Energy Save GB, we assess each Southport home individually before recommending the best insulation option. Our goal is to ensure the material used performs effectively, fills the cavity properly and provides long lasting thermal performance.
Will cavity wall insulation affect the appearance of my home?
The appearance of your home should not change noticeably once the installation has been completed. The holes drilled during installation are small and are filled with mortar that closely matches the existing joints in the brickwork. Our installers take care to complete this work neatly so the finished result blends in with the surrounding wall. For homeowners in Southport, the visual impact is minimal and most people find the repairs are barely noticeable once the work is finished.
How can I arrange a cavity wall insulation survey in Southport?
Arranging a survey is straightforward. Homeowners in Southport can contact Home Energy Save GB to book a free borescope inspection of their property. Our team will visit your home, assess the condition of the cavity walls and explain whether insulation would be suitable. We will also answer any questions you may have about the installation process and expected benefits. This initial survey helps you make an informed decision about improving the energy efficiency of your home.
