Brilliant service, even helped me move a bed🙂Posted on Georgie AlexanderTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. We had our survey done, by Phil. He was very knowledgeable in the field, and walked us through the solutions we need to take. Our treatment was carried out by Craig, who took special care of all household items, whilst carrying out the treatment. Craig made sure to explain the best methods of cleaning the treatment. Would highly recommend! Thank youPosted on Leah Warner-TedaldiTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. We had Kai and Sam come to do isotherm insulation on our walls. They were great, really upbeat and friendly. They worked really hard and left the place so tidy. The work looks good so far! Review is done on the day of completion Update: we had a lot of trouble with this company in the end. The plastering work ended up needing to be redone. It took 6 weeks for it to be redone and we were left with a completely unusable room and really bad communication. There were so many times when I rang through to the switchboard and escalated matters for nothing to happen. We felt totally helpless and stranded. I have since tried to get through to their complaints team to no avail. We had the isotherm sheeting fixed which was then skimmed over the top. Once this had set you could quite easily push it in with your finger, denting it (see pic of finger dents). The company surveyor (who we asked to be sent round) said that this was expected and how the isotherm works (I would not recommend!) Luckily they sent a plasterer round to fix it, and he said the whole thing (isotherm and all) needed to be redone, and he redid it all. It now looks really good and doesn’t dent with your finger. TBH I wouldn’t recommend this company, I found them impossible to get in touch with and just gatekept at a switchboard and left us in a really vulnerable position and took 6 weeks to fix it.Posted on Monika NiebojTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Had John and Ron at my house this morning fitting a new damp course. They were both friendly and professional. They turned up at my property on time, did a very neat job, explained everything that they were going to do and cleaned up after they had finished.Posted on James WaltonTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Larry was very professional! He is very knowledgeable and helped me diagnose my damp issue.

At Home Energy Save GB, we understand how important it is for homeowners in Wigan to keep their homes warm, comfortable and energy efficient throughout the year. With many properties across Wigan including traditional brick built terraces, semi detached homes and older housing stock, effective insulation plays an important role in reducing heat loss and keeping energy bills under control.

Cavity Wall Insulation Extraction in Wigan
Defective or waterlogged cavity wall insulation can trap moisture within the walls of your Wigan home and may lead to damp problems developing inside the property. Our cavity wall insulation extraction service removes damaged or saturated insulation materials safely and efficiently, allowing your external walls to function properly again and helping to reduce the risk of ongoing moisture related issues.
These problems can occur when insulation has been incorrectly installed in the past or when moisture has gradually entered the cavity over time due to prolonged exposure to Wigan’s wet and often changeable weather conditions.
Cavity Wall Insulation Extraction
Older or poorly installed cavity wall insulation can cause a variety of issues within your home, including damp patches appearing on internal walls, mould growth and a noticeable drop in energy efficiency.
Solution: Our cavity wall insulation extraction service in Wigan carefully removes defective or waterlogged insulation materials from the cavity. Once the failed insulation has been removed, the cavity wall can begin to dry out naturally and operate as it was originally designed to.

What is cavity wall insulation and how does it help homes in Wigan?
Cavity wall insulation is a material that is installed inside the gap between the inner and outer walls of a property. Many homes in Wigan, particularly traditional brick built terraces and semi detached houses, have cavity walls that can lose a large amount of heat if left uninsulated. By filling this space with insulation, heat loss is significantly reduced. This helps your home stay warmer during colder months and reduces the amount of energy needed to heat the property. At Home Energy Save GB, we install high quality insulation materials designed to improve comfort and lower heating costs for homeowners across Wigan.
Are most homes in Wigan suitable for cavity wall insulation?
Many properties in Wigan are suitable for cavity wall insulation, especially homes built after the 1920s which commonly feature cavity wall construction. However, not every property is automatically suitable. At Home Energy Save GB, we carry out a detailed borescope survey before recommending any installation. This allows our team to inspect inside the cavity and check for debris, structural issues or moisture. Homes across Wigan vary in age and construction, so this assessment is essential to ensure the insulation will perform correctly and will not cause future problems within the walls.
How do you check if my Wigan home already has cavity wall insulation?
Before any installation is recommended, our surveyors check whether insulation is already present inside the cavity. At Home Energy Save GB, we use specialist borescope equipment which allows us to inspect inside the wall through a small drilled access point. This inspection reveals whether insulation is present, what condition it is in and whether the cavity is suitable for new insulation. Many properties in Wigan may have had insulation installed years ago, so this inspection helps us determine whether the existing material is still performing correctly.
How long does cavity wall insulation installation take?
In most cases, cavity wall insulation can be installed within a single day. The exact time depends on the size of the property and the condition of the external walls. For many Wigan homes, the installation process is relatively straightforward. Our technicians drill small holes in the external walls and inject insulation material into the cavity using specialist equipment. Once the cavity is filled, the holes are carefully sealed to match the surrounding brickwork. At Home Energy Save GB, we aim to complete the installation efficiently while ensuring the highest standards of workmanship.
Will cavity wall insulation reduce my heating bills?
Many homeowners notice a reduction in their heating costs after installing cavity wall insulation. By reducing heat loss through external walls, the home retains warmth for longer periods. This means heating systems do not need to work as frequently to maintain a comfortable temperature. In Wigan, where winter temperatures can drop significantly, improved insulation can make a noticeable difference to energy consumption. While savings vary depending on the property and heating system, cavity wall insulation is widely recognised as an effective way to improve energy efficiency.
