He was very knowledgeable in the field, and walked us through the solutions we need to take. Our treatment was carried out by Craig, who took special care of all household items, whilst carrying out the treatment. Craig made sure to explain the best methods of cleaning the treatment. Would highly recommend! Thank youPosted on Leah Warner-TedaldiTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. We had Kai and Sam come to do isotherm insulation on our walls. They were great, really upbeat and friendly. They worked really hard and left the place so tidy. The work looks good so far! Review is done on the day of completion Update: we had a lot of trouble with this company in the end. The plastering work ended up needing to be redone. It took 6 weeks for it to be redone and we were left with a completely unusable room and really bad communication. There were so many times when I rang through to the switchboard and escalated matters for nothing to happen. We felt totally helpless and stranded. I have since tried to get through to their complaints team to no avail. We had the isotherm sheeting fixed which was then skimmed over the top. Once this had set you could quite easily push it in with your finger, denting it (see pic of finger dents). The company surveyor (who we asked to be sent round) said that this was expected and how the isotherm works (I would not recommend!) Luckily they sent a plasterer round to fix it, and he said the whole thing (isotherm and all) needed to be redone, and he redid it all. It now looks really good and doesn’t dent with your finger. TBH I wouldn’t recommend this company, I found them impossible to get in touch with and just gatekept at a switchboard and left us in a really vulnerable position and took 6 weeks to fix it.Posted on Monika NiebojTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. What is Damp Proofing?
Damp proofing prevents moisture from entering your home through the walls, floors or roof. It typically uses materials like membranes or sealants to stop issues such as rising damp, condensation or water intrusion.
For homeowners, effective damp proofing protects the building’s structure, helps prevent damage to plaster and timber, and reduces the risk of mould.

Rising Damp Solutions In Bolton
Rising damp is usually treated by injecting a silicone based damp proof course into the affected walls. Where necessary, contaminated plaster is carefully removed and replaced with specialist renovating plaster or a cavity wall membrane system designed specifically to manage damp effectively.
Although most properties in Bolton have a damp proof course installed, problems can still arise if it was fitted incorrectly, has deteriorated with age, or if external ground levels have been raised and allow moisture to bridge the protective barrier.
All of our remedial treatments are backed by a 25 year guarantee, giving your home dependable, long term protection and complete peace of mind.

Penetrating Damp Solutions in Bolton
Noticed mould growth, damp patches or staining on your walls or ceilings? It could be a sign of penetrating damp.
One of our qualified surveyors will attend your property in Bolton to identify the source of the problem and recommend the most effective solution. This may include removing damaged materials, installing a waterproof membrane to aid the drying process, and addressing external defects such as cracked brickwork, defective pointing or damaged roofing.
All of our penetrating damp treatments are covered by a 25 year guarantee, giving you confidence that your Bolton home is properly safeguarded for the long term.

How do I know if I have damp in my Bolton home?
Common signs include peeling wallpaper, flaking paint, tide marks on walls, musty smells and visible mould growth. In Bolton, older properties and homes exposed to persistent rainfall can be particularly vulnerable. If you notice cold, damp patches on walls or staining that seems to worsen over time, it is worth arranging a professional survey. We carry out detailed inspections to identify the exact cause and recommend the most appropriate solution.
What types of damp are most common in Bolton properties?
In Bolton we most commonly see rising damp, penetrating damp and condensation related mould. Rising damp affects ground floor walls, penetrating damp is usually linked to external defects, and condensation tends to form in poorly ventilated areas. Each requires a different approach. Our surveyors assess your property carefully to determine which type is present before recommending a targeted treatment plan.
Do I really need a damp proofing survey before getting work done?
Yes, a proper survey is essential. Treating damp without identifying the cause can lead to unnecessary expense and ongoing issues. We provide a free damp proofing survey in Bolton to establish the root of the problem. Our report explains what is happening within your walls and outlines clear recommendations so you can make an informed decision.
Is rising damp common in Bolton homes?
Yes, particularly in older terraced and semi detached properties. Over time, damp proof courses can deteriorate or become bridged by raised ground levels. Bolton’s climate can also contribute to persistent moisture. We regularly treat rising damp using proven injection methods combined with specialist plaster systems to ensure long term protection.
Can damp cause health problems?
Yes, prolonged exposure to damp and mould can aggravate respiratory conditions and allergies. Mould spores can affect indoor air quality, particularly for children and older residents. Addressing damp promptly protects both your property and your health. We focus on removing the underlying cause, not just the visible symptoms.
