He was very knowledgeable in the field, and walked us through the solutions we need to take. Our treatment was carried out by Craig, who took special care of all household items, whilst carrying out the treatment. Craig made sure to explain the best methods of cleaning the treatment. Would highly recommend! Thank youPosted on Leah Warner-TedaldiTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. We had Kai and Sam come to do isotherm insulation on our walls. They were great, really upbeat and friendly. They worked really hard and left the place so tidy. The work looks good so far! Review is done on the day of completion Update: we had a lot of trouble with this company in the end. The plastering work ended up needing to be redone. It took 6 weeks for it to be redone and we were left with a completely unusable room and really bad communication. There were so many times when I rang through to the switchboard and escalated matters for nothing to happen. We felt totally helpless and stranded. I have since tried to get through to their complaints team to no avail. We had the isotherm sheeting fixed which was then skimmed over the top. Once this had set you could quite easily push it in with your finger, denting it (see pic of finger dents). The company surveyor (who we asked to be sent round) said that this was expected and how the isotherm works (I would not recommend!) Luckily they sent a plasterer round to fix it, and he said the whole thing (isotherm and all) needed to be redone, and he redid it all. It now looks really good and doesn’t dent with your finger. TBH I wouldn’t recommend this company, I found them impossible to get in touch with and just gatekept at a switchboard and left us in a really vulnerable position and took 6 weeks to fix it.Posted on Monika NiebojTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. What is Damp Proofing?
Damp proofing prevents moisture from entering your home through the walls, floors or roof. It typically uses materials like membranes or sealants to stop issues such as rising damp, condensation or water intrusion.
For homeowners, effective damp proofing protects the building’s structure, helps prevent damage to plaster and timber, and reduces the risk of mould.

Rising Damp Solutions In Bury
Rising damp is usually treated by injecting a high performance, silicone based damp proof course into the affected walls to create a new moisture barrier. Where necessary, we remove salt contaminated or damaged plaster and replace it with specialist renovating plaster or install a cavity wall membrane system designed specifically for effective damp control.
Although most homes in Bury were built with a damp proof course, problems can still arise if the original installation has deteriorated, been bridged by raised ground levels, or was not fitted correctly in the first place.
All of our damp proofing treatments are backed by a 25 year guarantee, giving you dependable, long term protection and peace of mind for your Bury home.

One of our qualified surveyors will carry out a detailed inspection to pinpoint the exact source of the problem. We will then recommend the most appropriate solution, which may include removing damaged plaster or timber, installing a waterproof membrane to assist controlled drying, and addressing external defects such as cracked brickwork, worn pointing or slipped roof tiles.

What are the most common causes of damp in homes in Bury?
In Bury, we commonly see damp caused by rising damp, penetrating damp and condensation. Older terraced properties and homes with solid brick walls can be particularly vulnerable. High rainfall across Greater Manchester can also contribute to external moisture entering through brickwork or roofing defects. During our free survey, we carefully identify the exact cause rather than guessing, so you receive the correct treatment for long term protection.
How do I know if I have rising damp in my Bury home?
Typical signs of rising damp include tide marks on internal walls, peeling wallpaper, blistering paint and a musty smell. You may also notice crumbling skirting boards or salt deposits on plaster. Rising damp usually affects ground floor walls. We carry out a detailed moisture inspection using professional equipment to confirm whether rising damp is present and whether a new damp proof course is required.
Do you offer free damp surveys in Bury?
Yes, we provide a free, no obligation damp survey for homeowners across Bury and surrounding areas. One of our experienced surveyors will inspect your property, identify the cause of any damp issues and explain the most suitable solution. You will receive clear advice and a detailed report so you can make an informed decision without pressure.
Can damp reduce the value of my property?
Yes, untreated damp can affect property value and may deter buyers during surveys. Mortgage lenders often raise concerns if damp is present. Addressing issues professionally and obtaining a guarantee can help reassure potential buyers and protect your investment.
What areas of Bury do you cover?
We cover all areas of Bury including Radcliffe, Whitefield, Tottington, Prestwich and surrounding Greater Manchester locations. If you are unsure whether we operate in your area, simply contact us and we will confirm.
