He was very knowledgeable in the field, and walked us through the solutions we need to take. Our treatment was carried out by Craig, who took special care of all household items, whilst carrying out the treatment. Craig made sure to explain the best methods of cleaning the treatment. Would highly recommend! Thank youPosted on Leah Warner-TedaldiTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. We had Kai and Sam come to do isotherm insulation on our walls. They were great, really upbeat and friendly. They worked really hard and left the place so tidy. The work looks good so far! Review is done on the day of completion Update: we had a lot of trouble with this company in the end. The plastering work ended up needing to be redone. It took 6 weeks for it to be redone and we were left with a completely unusable room and really bad communication. There were so many times when I rang through to the switchboard and escalated matters for nothing to happen. We felt totally helpless and stranded. I have since tried to get through to their complaints team to no avail. We had the isotherm sheeting fixed which was then skimmed over the top. Once this had set you could quite easily push it in with your finger, denting it (see pic of finger dents). The company surveyor (who we asked to be sent round) said that this was expected and how the isotherm works (I would not recommend!) Luckily they sent a plasterer round to fix it, and he said the whole thing (isotherm and all) needed to be redone, and he redid it all. It now looks really good and doesn’t dent with your finger. TBH I wouldn’t recommend this company, I found them impossible to get in touch with and just gatekept at a switchboard and left us in a really vulnerable position and took 6 weeks to fix it.Posted on Monika NiebojTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. What is Damp Proofing?
Damp proofing prevents moisture from entering your home through the walls, floors or roof. It typically uses materials like membranes or sealants to stop issues such as rising damp, condensation or water intrusion.
For homeowners, effective damp proofing protects the building’s structure, helps prevent damage to plaster and timber, and reduces the risk of mould.

Rising Damp Solutions In Lancaster
Rising damp is usually addressed by injecting a silicone based damp proof course into the affected walls.
Although most homes in Lancaster were built with a damp proof course, problems can still develop if the original installation was inadequate, has deteriorated with age, or if external ground levels have been raised, allowing moisture to track above the protective barrier.
All of our remedial treatments are supported by a 25 year guarantee, providing your Lancaster home with dependable, long term protection and reassurance.

What causes damp in Lancaster homes?
Damp in Lancaster homes is often caused by rising damp, penetrating damp or condensation. Older properties, solid wall construction and exposure to driving rain can increase the risk. Blocked air bricks, high external ground levels and defective gutters are also common factors. As Lancaster experiences regular rainfall and cooler temperatures, moisture issues can develop if ventilation and damp proofing systems are not performing correctly.
Is damp common in older Lancaster properties?
Yes, damp is more common in older Lancaster properties, particularly those built before modern damp proof courses were standard. Over time, original barriers can fail or external ground levels may have been altered. Solid brick walls can also allow moisture to penetrate more easily. We regularly work on period homes in Lancaster and provide solutions tailored to traditional construction methods.
Will damp proofing make a mess in my home?
Some treatments require removal of affected plaster, which can create dust and debris. However, our team takes care to protect floors and furnishings and keeps disruption to a minimum. We work cleanly and efficiently, removing waste from site. We also explain each stage of the process beforehand so you know exactly what to expect during the damp proofing works.
Can condensation cause damp problems?
Yes, condensation is a common cause of damp in Lancaster homes. It forms when warm, moist air meets cold surfaces, leading to water droplets and mould growth. Poor ventilation and inadequate heating can increase the problem. We assess ventilation levels and provide practical advice, which may include improving airflow or installing specialist systems to control moisture levels.
