He was very knowledgeable in the field, and walked us through the solutions we need to take. Our treatment was carried out by Craig, who took special care of all household items, whilst carrying out the treatment. Craig made sure to explain the best methods of cleaning the treatment. Would highly recommend! Thank youPosted on Leah Warner-TedaldiTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. We had Kai and Sam come to do isotherm insulation on our walls. They were great, really upbeat and friendly. They worked really hard and left the place so tidy. The work looks good so far! Review is done on the day of completion Update: we had a lot of trouble with this company in the end. The plastering work ended up needing to be redone. It took 6 weeks for it to be redone and we were left with a completely unusable room and really bad communication. There were so many times when I rang through to the switchboard and escalated matters for nothing to happen. We felt totally helpless and stranded. I have since tried to get through to their complaints team to no avail. We had the isotherm sheeting fixed which was then skimmed over the top. Once this had set you could quite easily push it in with your finger, denting it (see pic of finger dents). The company surveyor (who we asked to be sent round) said that this was expected and how the isotherm works (I would not recommend!) Luckily they sent a plasterer round to fix it, and he said the whole thing (isotherm and all) needed to be redone, and he redid it all. It now looks really good and doesn’t dent with your finger. TBH I wouldn’t recommend this company, I found them impossible to get in touch with and just gatekept at a switchboard and left us in a really vulnerable position and took 6 weeks to fix it.Posted on Monika NiebojTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Rising Damp Solutions In Newcastle-under-Lyme
Rising damp is usually treated by injecting a silicone based damp proof course into the affected walls. Where necessary, damaged plaster is removed and replaced with specialist renovating plaster or a cavity wall membrane to better control moisture.
While most homes in Newcastle-under-Lyme already have a damp proof course, problems can still arise if it was incorrectly installed, has deteriorated over time, or if external ground levels are too high, allowing moisture to pass above the barrier.

Frequently Asked Questions
What causes damp in homes in Newcastle-under-Lyme?
Damp in homes across Newcastle-under-Lyme is often caused by rising damp, penetrating damp, or condensation. Older properties can be more affected due to ageing damp-proof courses or solid wall construction. External issues such as high ground levels, damaged brickwork, or faulty gutters can also allow moisture to enter. At Home Energy Save GB, we offer free damp surveys to identify the exact cause before recommending any treatment.
How can I tell if my home has rising damp?
Rising damp usually appears as tide marks on lower walls, crumbling plaster, or a white powdery residue on surfaces. Skirting boards may also rot or feel soft. These signs are common in older homes in Newcastle-under-Lyme, where damp proof courses have failed or been bridged. Home Energy Save GB provides free damp surveys to confirm whether rising damp is present and advise on the correct solution.
Is damp proofing necessary for older properties in Newcastle-under-Lyme?
Many older homes in Newcastle-under-Lyme either lack a modern damp-proof course or have one that has broken down over time. Without effective protection, moisture can travel through walls and cause long-term damage. Damp proofing helps protect the structure of the building and improve living conditions. At Home Energy Save GB, we assess each property individually through our free damp survey before recommending any work.
Can damp cause mould growth in my home?
Yes, damp conditions create an environment where mould can develop, particularly in poorly ventilated areas. Mould is often linked to condensation, but can also result from rising or penetrating damp. In homes across Newcastle-under-Lyme, mould can affect air quality and damage surfaces. Home Energy Save GB offers free damp surveys to identify the underlying cause and recommend appropriate damp proofing solutions.
Are damp problems common in Newcastle-under-Lyme homes?
