He was very knowledgeable in the field, and walked us through the solutions we need to take. Our treatment was carried out by Craig, who took special care of all household items, whilst carrying out the treatment. Craig made sure to explain the best methods of cleaning the treatment. Would highly recommend! Thank youPosted on Leah Warner-TedaldiTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. We had Kai and Sam come to do isotherm insulation on our walls. They were great, really upbeat and friendly. They worked really hard and left the place so tidy. The work looks good so far! Review is done on the day of completion Update: we had a lot of trouble with this company in the end. The plastering work ended up needing to be redone. It took 6 weeks for it to be redone and we were left with a completely unusable room and really bad communication. There were so many times when I rang through to the switchboard and escalated matters for nothing to happen. We felt totally helpless and stranded. I have since tried to get through to their complaints team to no avail. We had the isotherm sheeting fixed which was then skimmed over the top. Once this had set you could quite easily push it in with your finger, denting it (see pic of finger dents). The company surveyor (who we asked to be sent round) said that this was expected and how the isotherm works (I would not recommend!) Luckily they sent a plasterer round to fix it, and he said the whole thing (isotherm and all) needed to be redone, and he redid it all. It now looks really good and doesn’t dent with your finger. TBH I wouldn’t recommend this company, I found them impossible to get in touch with and just gatekept at a switchboard and left us in a really vulnerable position and took 6 weeks to fix it.Posted on Monika NiebojTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. What is Damp Proofing?
Damp proofing prevents moisture from entering your home through the walls, floors or roof. It typically uses materials like membranes or sealants to stop issues such as rising damp, condensation or water intrusion.
For homeowners, effective damp proofing protects the building’s structure, helps prevent damage to plaster and timber, and reduces the risk of mould.

Rising Damp Solutions In Rochdale
Rising damp is usually treated by injecting a silicone based damp proof course into the affected masonry to form a new moisture barrier. Where required, we remove salt contaminated or damaged plaster and replace it with specialist renovating plaster or install a cavity wall membrane system designed specifically for effective damp control.
Although most homes in Rochdale were built with a damp proof course, problems can still arise if it has deteriorated over time, was incorrectly installed, or if external ground levels have been raised and are allowing moisture to bridge the original barrier.
All of our rising damp treatments are backed by a 25 year guarantee, providing dependable, long term protection for your home.

Penetrating Damp Solutions in Rochdale
If you have noticed mould growth, damp staining or tide marks on internal walls, it could indicate penetrating damp affecting your property in Rochdale.
One of our qualified surveyors will carry out a detailed inspection to identify the source of the moisture and recommend the most appropriate remedial work.
To reduce the risk of recurrence, we can also apply a breathable water repellent treatment to the external walls. Every penetrating damp solution we install is supported by a 25 year guarantee, giving you confidence that your home is properly safeguarded.

How do I know if I have damp in my Wigan home?
Common signs of damp include peeling paint, bubbling plaster, musty smells, mould growth and tide marks on internal walls. In Wigan, we often see damp linked to older brickwork and high rainfall levels. If you notice cold, clammy walls or dark patches that worsen in wet weather, it is worth arranging a professional survey. At Home Energy Save GB, we carry out detailed inspections to confirm the exact cause before recommending treatment.
What types of damp are common in homes in Wigan?
In Wigan properties, we most commonly identify rising damp, penetrating damp and condensation related mould. Rising damp affects ground floor walls where moisture travels upwards. Penetrating damp is usually linked to external defects such as cracked brickwork or faulty gutters. Condensation tends to form in poorly ventilated rooms. Our surveyors assess the building structure and moisture patterns carefully so we can diagnose the correct issue and avoid unnecessary work.
Do you offer free damp surveys in Wigan?
Yes, we provide free damp proofing surveys for homeowners throughout Wigan. One of our qualified surveyors will inspect your property, assess moisture readings and identify the underlying cause of the problem. Following the visit, we provide a clear written report outlining our findings and recommended solutions. There is no obligation to proceed, and we take time to explain everything so you can make an informed decision.
How is rising damp treated?
We typically treat rising damp by injecting a silicone based damp proof course into the affected walls to create a new moisture barrier. Where plaster has been contaminated by salts, we remove and replace it with specialist renovating plaster. Our approach ensures both the structural issue and internal damage are addressed. All of our rising damp treatments are installed to strict standards and backed by long term guarantees.
How long does damp proofing take to complete?
The duration depends on the extent of the problem and the size of the affected area. In many Wigan homes, rising damp treatment can be completed within a few days. Additional time may be required if replastering or external repairs are needed. During your survey, we will provide a clear timeframe so you understand exactly how long the process will take.
