He was very knowledgeable in the field, and walked us through the solutions we need to take. Our treatment was carried out by Craig, who took special care of all household items, whilst carrying out the treatment. Craig made sure to explain the best methods of cleaning the treatment. Would highly recommend! Thank youPosted on Leah Warner-TedaldiTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. We had Kai and Sam come to do isotherm insulation on our walls. They were great, really upbeat and friendly. They worked really hard and left the place so tidy. The work looks good so far! Review is done on the day of completion Update: we had a lot of trouble with this company in the end. The plastering work ended up needing to be redone. It took 6 weeks for it to be redone and we were left with a completely unusable room and really bad communication. There were so many times when I rang through to the switchboard and escalated matters for nothing to happen. We felt totally helpless and stranded. I have since tried to get through to their complaints team to no avail. We had the isotherm sheeting fixed which was then skimmed over the top. Once this had set you could quite easily push it in with your finger, denting it (see pic of finger dents). The company surveyor (who we asked to be sent round) said that this was expected and how the isotherm works (I would not recommend!) Luckily they sent a plasterer round to fix it, and he said the whole thing (isotherm and all) needed to be redone, and he redid it all. It now looks really good and doesn’t dent with your finger. TBH I wouldn’t recommend this company, I found them impossible to get in touch with and just gatekept at a switchboard and left us in a really vulnerable position and took 6 weeks to fix it.Posted on Monika NiebojTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. What is Damp Proofing?
Damp proofing prevents moisture from entering your home through the walls, floors or roof. It typically uses materials like membranes or sealants to stop issues such as rising damp, condensation or water intrusion.
For homeowners, effective damp proofing protects the building’s structure, helps prevent damage to plaster and timber, and reduces the risk of mould.

Rising Damp Solutions In Worcestershire
Rising damp is best dealt with by installing a high performance silicone based damp proof course into the affected walls, forming a reliable barrier that prevents moisture from travelling up from the ground. Where required, any salt affected or damaged plaster is removed and replaced with specialist renovating plaster or a cavity wall membrane system to control moisture and assist the drying process.
All of our rising damp treatments are backed by a 25 year guarantee, giving you confidence that your Worcestershire property is protected for the long term while supporting a dry, comfortable and healthy living space.

Penetrating Damp Solutions in Worcestershire
If you have noticed mould growth, damp patches or watermarks on your walls or ceilings, it may be a sign of penetrating damp affecting your property.
One of our qualified surveyors will carry out a detailed inspection of your Worcestershire home, identifying where the moisture is entering and recommending the most effective solution based on the condition of the building.
To help protect your property from further moisture intrusion, we can also apply a high quality water repellent treatment to the external masonry. This creates an added layer of protection, reducing the risk of water ingress and helping your home better withstand the elements.
What to Expect From Our FREE Damp Survey
One of our experienced surveyors will visit your home at a time that works for you.
Using digital tools, they’ll carry out a full damp survey to spot any issues and explain what’s causing them, how they’re affecting your home, and what can be done to fix them. The survey is completely free.
Some of the treatments we recommend could even help lower your energy bills, which is why HMRC applies a reduced VAT rate to them.

How do I know if my home in Worcestershire has a damp problem?
Common signs of damp include musty smells, peeling paint or wallpaper, dark patches on walls, mould growth and tide marks at low level. In Worcestershire, a mix of older housing stock and varying weather conditions can make properties more prone to damp issues over time. If you notice any of these signs, it is important to have a professional survey carried out. At Home Energy Save GB, we identify the root cause of the problem rather than just the visible symptoms, ensuring the right treatment is recommended for your home.
What causes damp in properties across Worcestershire?
Damp can be caused by several factors, including rising damp from the ground, penetrating damp from external defects and condensation due to poor ventilation. In Worcestershire, older properties may have a failed or missing damp proof course, while heavy rainfall can contribute to water ingress through brickwork or roofing. Each property is different, so understanding the exact cause is essential. Our surveyors carry out a detailed inspection to determine the source and recommend a tailored solution that addresses the issue effectively.
What is a damp proof course and do I need one?
A damp proof course is a barrier installed within walls to prevent moisture from travelling up from the ground. Many properties in Worcestershire were built with a damp proof course, but over time it can fail or become ineffective. If rising damp is present, installing a modern silicone based damp proof course is often the most reliable solution. At Home Energy Save GB, we assess whether your existing protection is still performing or if a new system is required to keep your home dry.
How long does damp proofing take to complete?
The time required depends on the extent of the damp and the size of the affected area. In most Worcestershire homes, a typical damp proof course installation can be completed within one to three days. Additional work such as plaster replacement may extend the timeframe slightly. Our team works efficiently while maintaining high standards, and we will always provide a clear timescale before starting. We aim to minimise disruption and ensure your home is left clean and tidy once the work is complete.
How much does damp proofing cost in Worcestershire?
The cost of damp proofing varies depending on the type of damp, the severity of the issue and the size of the affected area. There is no one size fits all price, which is why we offer a free survey to assess your property properly. Following this, we provide a clear and transparent quotation with no hidden costs. At Home Energy Save GB, we focus on delivering long term value by recommending the most effective solution for your budget.
