He was very knowledgeable in the field, and walked us through the solutions we need to take. Our treatment was carried out by Craig, who took special care of all household items, whilst carrying out the treatment. Craig made sure to explain the best methods of cleaning the treatment. Would highly recommend! Thank youPosted on Leah Warner-TedaldiTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. We had Kai and Sam come to do isotherm insulation on our walls. They were great, really upbeat and friendly. They worked really hard and left the place so tidy. The work looks good so far! Review is done on the day of completion Update: we had a lot of trouble with this company in the end. The plastering work ended up needing to be redone. It took 6 weeks for it to be redone and we were left with a completely unusable room and really bad communication. There were so many times when I rang through to the switchboard and escalated matters for nothing to happen. We felt totally helpless and stranded. I have since tried to get through to their complaints team to no avail. We had the isotherm sheeting fixed which was then skimmed over the top. Once this had set you could quite easily push it in with your finger, denting it (see pic of finger dents). The company surveyor (who we asked to be sent round) said that this was expected and how the isotherm works (I would not recommend!) Luckily they sent a plasterer round to fix it, and he said the whole thing (isotherm and all) needed to be redone, and he redid it all. It now looks really good and doesn’t dent with your finger. TBH I wouldn’t recommend this company, I found them impossible to get in touch with and just gatekept at a switchboard and left us in a really vulnerable position and took 6 weeks to fix it.Posted on Monika NiebojTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. They turned up at my property on time, did a very neat job, explained everything that they were going to do and cleaned up after they had finished.Posted on James WaltonTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Loft Insulation Can Significantly Improve Energy Efficiency and Home Comfort
Across many homes in Coventry, ageing or insufficient loft insulation can result in noticeable heat loss, uneven room temperatures and rising energy costs. Where insulation has settled, thinned out or was never installed correctly, warm air can easily escape through the roof, leaving your home feeling colder and harder to heat, especially during the winter months.
Improving your loft insulation can make a substantial difference to how well your property retains warmth, manages airflow and limits the risk of condensation developing within the roof space. Choosing a professional loft insulation service helps improve energy performance, safeguard the condition of your loft and create a more consistent and comfortable living environment within your Coventry home over the long term.
Free Loft Insulation Survey in Coventry
Worried about the condition of your loft insulation in Coventry? We offer a free loft insulation survey for homeowners across Coventry and nearby areas, including Earlsdon, Tile Hill, Binley and Stoke.
Our experienced surveyors complete a detailed assessment of your loft space, reviewing insulation depth, coverage and how air circulates throughout the area. We pinpoint where heat is being lost and provide clear, standards led advice to help improve efficiency, reduce unnecessary energy use and make your home warmer and more comfortable.
Common Issues Poor Loft Insulation Can Cause
Higher Energy Bills
Poor loft insulation allows a large amount of heat to escape through the roof, which means your heating system has to work harder to keep your home warm. This increased demand leads to higher energy usage, particularly during colder months when heating is used more frequently. Over time, this can result in noticeably higher household bills and reduced energy efficiency, making it more expensive to maintain a comfortable indoor environment throughout the year.
Uneven Temperatures
Inadequate loft insulation can create noticeable temperature differences across your home, with some rooms feeling colder than others. Heat tends to rise and escape through the roof, which often leaves upper floor rooms such as bedrooms feeling particularly chilly. This makes it more difficult to maintain a consistent level of comfort, especially during winter. As a result, you may rely more on heating to balance temperatures, which can further impact energy usage and overall comfort.
Damp Issues
Insufficient loft insulation can lead to condensation forming in the roof space when warm air rises and meets colder surfaces. This moisture can build up over time, creating damp conditions that are not always immediately visible. Left untreated, this can encourage mould growth and may begin to affect timber structures and stored belongings. Damp conditions can also impact indoor air quality, making the home feel less comfortable and potentially contributing to longer term maintenance concerns.Prolonged exposure to damp conditions caused by trapped moisture can lead to timber rot within the roof structure. Rafters and joists may begin to soften, weaken or decay over time. If not addressed, this deterioration can compromise structural stability, increase repair costs and reduce the lifespan of the roof framework.
Is Poor Loft Insulation Affecting Your Home?
In many Coventry homes, poorly fitted or inadequate loft insulation can impact how effectively the roof performs, especially where ventilation has not been properly considered. When insulation levels and airflow are out of balance, heat can escape while moisture becomes trapped within the loft space.
Restricted ventilation can lead to condensation forming on cooler surfaces, which over time may contribute to damp problems and potential damage to roof timbers. A professional loft insulation inspection helps ensure everything is installed correctly, supporting proper airflow, protecting the structure of your roof and helping to preserve the long term value of your Coventry property.

How do I know if my loft insulation in Coventry needs upgrading?
Many properties in Coventry, particularly older homes, may have insulation that no longer meets current standards. If your home feels cold despite heating being on, or your energy bills are rising, it could be a sign your insulation is underperforming. During our survey, we check insulation depth, condition and coverage to determine whether an upgrade is needed. In many cases, insulation has either settled over time or was never installed to the correct level, which reduces its effectiveness.
What insulation depth should my loft have to meet current standards?
Current recommendations suggest loft insulation should be around 270mm thick to provide effective thermal performance. Many Coventry homes fall short of this, especially those that have not been updated in recent years. During our inspection, we measure the existing insulation and advise whether topping up or replacing it is required. Achieving the correct depth helps reduce heat loss, improve comfort and lower energy usage across your property.
Will adding loft insulation cause ventilation problems in my roof?
Properly installed loft insulation should never block ventilation. In fact, balancing insulation with airflow is essential. At Home Energy Save GB, we ensure that airflow pathways are maintained to prevent moisture build up. Poor ventilation can lead to condensation, which may damage roof timbers over time. Our approach ensures your loft remains well ventilated while still benefiting from improved heat retention.
Can loft insulation help reduce condensation issues in my home?
Yes, when installed correctly, loft insulation can play a key role in reducing condensation. By maintaining a more stable temperature and ensuring proper airflow, it helps prevent warm air from meeting cold surfaces within the loft. However, insulation alone is not the full solution. That is why we assess ventilation as part of our service, ensuring your Coventry home is protected from moisture related problems.
Is loft insulation suitable for all types of Coventry properties?
Loft insulation is suitable for most property types, including terraced houses, semis and detached homes commonly found across Coventry. However, each property has its own requirements depending on roof structure, access and existing insulation. Our team carries out a full assessment to ensure the solution we recommend is appropriate for your specific home.
