Would highly recommend! Thank youPosted on Leah Warner-TedaldiTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. We had Kai and Sam come to do isotherm insulation on our walls. They were great, really upbeat and friendly. They worked really hard and left the place so tidy. The work looks good so far! Review is done on the day of completion Update: we had a lot of trouble with this company in the end. The plastering work ended up needing to be redone. It took 6 weeks for it to be redone and we were left with a completely unusable room and really bad communication. There were so many times when I rang through to the switchboard and escalated matters for nothing to happen. We felt totally helpless and stranded. I have since tried to get through to their complaints team to no avail. We had the isotherm sheeting fixed which was then skimmed over the top. Once this had set you could quite easily push it in with your finger, denting it (see pic of finger dents). The company surveyor (who we asked to be sent round) said that this was expected and how the isotherm works (I would not recommend!) Luckily they sent a plasterer round to fix it, and he said the whole thing (isotherm and all) needed to be redone, and he redid it all. It now looks really good and doesn’t dent with your finger. TBH I wouldn’t recommend this company, I found them impossible to get in touch with and just gatekept at a switchboard and left us in a really vulnerable position and took 6 weeks to fix it.Posted on Monika NiebojTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Spray Foam Insulation in the Loft Can Cause Serious Roof Problems
Spray foam insulation can prevent air from circulating freely within your loft, particularly when applied directly to roofing materials. This can cause moisture to become trapped, leading to damp conditions that gradually affect the roof structure.
Over time, this build up of moisture can result in timber decay, hidden structural issues and complications during property sales or mortgage applications. Removing spray foam insulation helps restore airflow, protecting your roof and maintaining the long term value of your Coventry home.
Free Loft Spray Foam Assessment in Coventry
If you are concerned about spray foam insulation in your Coventry property, we offer a free, no obligation survey. We cover Coventry and surrounding areas including Earlsdon, Tile Hill, Binley and Allesley.
Our surveyors carry out a detailed loft inspection, assessing ventilation, checking the condition of roof timbers and evaluating how the spray foam has been installed. Using specialist equipment, we determine the safest and most effective method of removal.
Common Issues Loft Spray Foam Insulation Can Cause
Restricted Airflow
Spray foam insulation can block the natural movement of air within a loft, especially when applied directly beneath tiles or felt. Without proper airflow, moisture becomes trapped, creating conditions that allow problems to develop over time.
Condensation Build Up
When warm air rises into the loft and cannot escape, it condenses on cooler surfaces such as rafters and roofing felt. This leads to ongoing dampness, which can impact both the structure and the effectiveness of insulation.
Timber Rot
Persistent damp conditions can cause wooden elements of the roof to weaken and decay. Rafters and joists may begin to deteriorate, potentially leading to structural concerns and costly repairs if left untreated.
Is Spray Foam Insulation Damaging Your Roof?
Spray foam insulation can have a negative impact on roof structures where ventilation is essential. By restricting airflow, it can contribute to moisture build up and gradual damage to roofing materials.
Many Coventry properties rely on consistent ventilation to remain in good condition. A professional inspection can identify whether spray foam is causing issues, and removal can help prevent further damage while protecting your home’s value.

Is it necessary to remove spray foam insulation?
Not in every case, but if it is causing moisture issues or affecting a mortgage application, removal is often recommended following a professional survey.
How is spray foam insulation removed?
Specialist tools and techniques are used to carefully extract the foam without harming the roof structure, followed by checks to ensure proper ventilation is restored.
Will removal improve the condition of my loft?
Yes, removing problematic spray foam can help restore airflow, reduce damp risks and improve the overall health and longevity of your roof space.
