Would highly recommend! Thank youPosted on Leah Warner-TedaldiTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. We had Kai and Sam come to do isotherm insulation on our walls. They were great, really upbeat and friendly. They worked really hard and left the place so tidy. The work looks good so far! Review is done on the day of completion Update: we had a lot of trouble with this company in the end. The plastering work ended up needing to be redone. It took 6 weeks for it to be redone and we were left with a completely unusable room and really bad communication. There were so many times when I rang through to the switchboard and escalated matters for nothing to happen. We felt totally helpless and stranded. I have since tried to get through to their complaints team to no avail. We had the isotherm sheeting fixed which was then skimmed over the top. Once this had set you could quite easily push it in with your finger, denting it (see pic of finger dents). The company surveyor (who we asked to be sent round) said that this was expected and how the isotherm works (I would not recommend!) Luckily they sent a plasterer round to fix it, and he said the whole thing (isotherm and all) needed to be redone, and he redid it all. It now looks really good and doesn’t dent with your finger. TBH I wouldn’t recommend this company, I found them impossible to get in touch with and just gatekept at a switchboard and left us in a really vulnerable position and took 6 weeks to fix it.Posted on Monika NiebojTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. They turned up at my property on time, did a very neat job, explained everything that they were going to do and cleaned up after they had finished.Posted on James WaltonTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Spray Foam Insulation in the Loft Can Cause Serious Roof Problems
Spray foam insulation can limit natural airflow within your loft, causing moisture to become trapped against roof timbers and felt. Over time, reduced ventilation can lead to condensation, damp conditions and gradual deterioration of timber that may not be immediately visible.
If left untreated, retained moisture beneath spray foam can contribute to rot, structural concerns and complications during mortgage surveys or property sales. Professional loft spray removal restores ventilation, protects your roof structure and helps preserve the long term value of your Manchester home.
Free Loft Spray Foam Assessment in Manchester
Concerned about spray foam insulation in your Manchester property? We offer a free loft spray removal survey for homeowners across Manchester and nearby areas including Didsbury, Chorlton, Salford and Prestwich.
Our experienced surveyors carry out a detailed inspection of your loft using professional equipment to assess the condition of the spray foam, evaluate roof timbers and ventilation, and determine the safest and most compliant removal approach.
Common Issues Loft Spray Foam Insulation Can Cause
Restricted Airflow
Spray foam insulation can significantly reduce natural airflow within a loft, especially when applied directly to the underside of roof tiles or felt. Without proper ventilation, warm and moist air becomes trapped, preventing the roof from breathing correctly and increasing the likelihood of hidden moisture problems over time.
Condensation Build Up
Limited airflow can lead to condensation forming on colder surfaces such as rafters, felt and fixings. Everyday household moisture rises into the loft space, and when it cannot escape, it settles as water droplets. This creates damp conditions that may gradually impact surrounding materials and reduce insulation performance.
Timber Rot
Ongoing exposure to damp conditions caused by trapped moisture can result in timber rot within the roof structure. Rafters and joists may begin to weaken, soften or decay. If not addressed early, this can affect structural stability, lead to costly repairs and shorten the lifespan of the roof.
Is Spray Foam Insulation Damaging Your Roof?
Spray foam insulation can place additional strain on roof timbers, particularly when applied directly to tiles or roofing felt. In many Manchester homes, especially older properties, proper ventilation is essential to keep the roof structure dry and stable.
When airflow is restricted, moisture can build up and lead to condensation and gradual timber damage. A professional inspection and, where required, safe spray foam removal can help protect your roof and maintain the long term value of your property.

How do I know if my loft spray foam needs removing?
Signs such as poor ventilation, damp smells, visible condensation or concerns raised during a survey can indicate issues. A professional assessment will confirm whether removal is necessary.
Will removing spray foam damage my roof?
When carried out by trained specialists, spray foam removal is completed carefully to avoid damage. The process is designed to protect and preserve the integrity of your roof structure.
How long does loft spray foam removal take?
The timeframe depends on the size of the loft and the extent of the insulation. Most projects are completed within one to a few days following assessment.
Can I get a mortgage with spray foam insulation in place?
Many lenders have strict criteria regarding spray foam insulation. Removal can often resolve these concerns and improve your chances of mortgage approval.
